Electro Cables

A re-roof was required for the original portion of Electro Cables plant which, as can be seen in the “Before” photos, was rusting and in need of a new roof. The total plant area is approximately 100,000 sq ft, but the re-roof portion comprised 20,000 sq ft of the total area.We utilized Butler’s Hi-Pro Metal-Over-Metal re-roof system featuring Butler’s MR-24 standing seam roof panels. With this system the existing roof is left in place meaning the facility and production are never left exposed to the elements.
The new roof system added approximately R20 to the existing roof assembly. As an added feature we utilized Butler’s ventilated ridge assemblies to help control the temperature in the plant which gets extremely warm due to the manufacturing process in this portion of the plant. The few penetrations that are required through the roof were made utilizing curbs and roof cones that are purpose-made for this roof assembly.
The overhead and personnel doors are protected by a snow guard system that is also purpose-made specifically for MR-24 standing seam roof panels. This snow guard system does not penetrate the roof panels.
This new roof assembly will provide Electro Cables with many years of low maintenance while improving the quality of the plant environment for their employees.
