Carmichael

We were grateful for the invitation and opportunity to collaborate with our friends and industry partners, Ottawa-based BBS Construction on this beautiful Butler building for their client, Carmichael Engineering.

The facility consists of 3 units. The main unit (9,300 sq. ft.) includes new offices and a shop for the building owner, Carmichael Engineering. There are also 2 additional units that make up the rest of the building and these are fully prepared to be leased to tenants. Full dock facilities are provided to each of the 3 units.

• The majority of the building is a Butler Building and its roof has been utilized as a mounting platform for a solar panel array.
• The mechanical systems are state of the art in terms of function and efficiency. The building also features in-floor radiant heating. Energy efficient lighting systems and controls are used throughout the building.\
• The front office area is conventional steel construction with steel stud exterior walls and masonry veneer.
• The building is designed for longevity and low maintenance.
